Suicide should not be asisited

Terminally ill patients should not have the right to end their life if they believe it’s the only way to end a lifelong pain.  When reading We the People about how people have the right to kill themselfs to end a life of physical pain we can see that people actually justify this as being morally right. life is sacred and it should be in our moral judgment onto the quality of life. But on the other hand, we put down animals when they are suffering from pain why shouldn’t human beings have the same level of compassion? It is still bad to put them down as well but in relation to human suffering we have the medicine to help with severe pain instead of having them kill them self with the same medicine. People who favor Assisted suicide believe it respects their right to autonomy or as a sign of mercy but they often fail to acknowledge however desire assisted suicide are extremely vulnerable. People who are in pain and often times disabled with are terminal disease want to die. That life has lost its meaning or purpose which makes them more prone to do anything to end the pain. They often do not believe that there is a better way.  By the government approving assisted suicide we are sending a message that suicide is ok. Assisted suicide is more common amongst people in hospitals but who is to stop a 12-year-old from ending his life? That same 12-year-old boy feels in his mind the same way that terminally ill people feel. We should not help physician-assisted suicide is still suicide and should be treated like such. Instead of helping them kill themselves help them know that they are not a burden on your life. When you stated “ The goal of treatment is to relieve pain…the patient should be granted the wish of whatever he is asking even if it results to death” can be subjective because all humans experience pain and want to get rid of the pain. Although in your statement you are referring to people who have cancer which is an inner disease that kills the body who is to say that a husband with a shotgun kills his cheating wife because he feels pain? Then kills himself because he doesn't want to live out the rest of his days in pain? The common theme in both scenarios is that they both want to end pain but only one of them is legal but death should be natural and not put in anybody's hand because it opens doors to other avenues that are similar

Our Great Nation

The U.S National government was set up by our founding fathers for all Americans to be responsible for their own success and failure. We Americans are entitled to free speech, a right to a fair trial and all men are created equal. But are all men created equal? When you look at how much minorities have progressed since then you have to ask, was the government really set up for all Americans to be successful?. The foundation of African American poverty was the start of the Homestead Act. The Homestead Act was developed by the Republican Party and while this was supposed to help all Americans move west on to free land instead they moved on to slave land. Moving west at the time was good for the economy. However, 160 acres was given to white people Post-Civil War and not blacks. Although this did not exclude blacks it made it very hard for them to keep the land they worked hard for. The farming industry tobacco, cotton, sugar was built on the back of forced labor. The U.S Government knew this and still did not make it to where all Americans are treated equally like what is stated in the U.S Constitution. Also, the emancipation relationship has not gotten much simpler. From sharecropping to unfair bank lending, black farmers have had to fight through many injustices. Although in today’s world society would like to say that minorities do have equal opportunity’s because they are not locked in chains. In fact, it could almost be worst now because there is a loophole that allows the U.S National government to lock up minorities and have them work for free. Our prison system in America allows for this because society believes everybody in jail is guilty of whatever they have been convicted of, but statistically, the majorities get less time than minorities for the same crime. Modern-day slavery is a term used to describe this behavior of the U.S national government.

No more emotions

When I was reading your editorial Things Are Going To Change With More Women in Congress  about if women in Congress will be beneficial or not, I can say that I believe it will not be beneficial because of the emotional reaction to world crises as well as laws that shouldn’t be in place because of emotion. Let’s be honest, gun control, and mass school shootings in America has been a hot topic as of late and when you take into account that most women do not care about what the 1st amendment, over 95% of women have never held guns, using your logic women in Congress will make a passionate attempt to change these laws that have been around to protect gun owners since our founding fathers. It is also sexist to say that women should be in office because of their emotional trait. This gives me the impression that a woman in Congress is only there because of her emotional appeal. Men also make decisions from the heart and also for women and the better of the nation. Having more women in Congress is not needed for all the reasons state. In conclusion, Congress has seen its fair share of women that have done great in office but it was not because they brought emotions into making America better. Making America better does involve some type of emotion but it is far more complex than what meets the eye.

No more Execution

One should be punished by the law for breaking the law, but because sometimes the way the government goes about these executions goes against are 8thamendment. There are people who go to prison or sentenced on death row on an ordinary basis but are innocent. Mistakes happen every day but once a person life is passed away and there deceased they can get that back.  The death penalty shouldn’t be allowed as a punishment no matter the cause.
The Electric Chair or the more formal way of saying it the Death Penalty is the topic of discussion in today’s society. Cruel and Unusual Punishment is the 8thamendment that states, "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment” thus the death penalties defies this. In a sense that one can be put to death because he or she kills or breaks the law. No matter the circumstance the law should be fair all across the board. Amendments are to protect the people from the government when injustice isn’t served. Their rights each individual has as a citizen of the United States of America! Who’s to say if they go against our rights one day the amendments for self-protection from the government; the life’s that get taken for these malicious acts can be false accusations as well.
There have been multiple cases of people who get accused of a crime and without enough evidence gets a mandatory life sentence; a life sentence is mandatory because of its indefinite death. Accidents happen all the time but a going about to killing a person with insufficient evidence or imprisoning an individual only causes a life lost. They pay people for the time the innocent people spend in jail. Time is something we can never get back, no matter how rich or how poor can’t buy time. Judges and jurors have given out these brutal punishments for under indictment people. The death penalty needs to be abolished and come to an end at once.

Save The Babies

In the article, The True History Of Milestone Babies Ann Coulter explains how the United States president Donald Trump wants to end citizenship of "Anchor Babies." An Anchor Baby are babies who are born in the U.S and their parents are not legal citizens but since the kids are born on American soil this makes them Americans. But as I continue to read Coulter explains, "the only reason they weren't citizens was that of slavery, which the country had just fought a civil war to end. The 14th Amendment fixed that." Coulter continues to explain how ridiculous the law he is trying to pass because it is unconstitutional to do so. The article itself is a good read and I agree with her on all points. moreover, this article is written to inform about the actions that Trump is trying to conduct as well as show how bias he can be when using his power to fuel his own need and not the needs of Americans.  Some of Coulter's evidence to back up her theory was the 14th amendment and the intent of the constitution. Counter explains again that the 14th amendment granted freedom to slaves and their children. A century later they Indian Citizenship act classified Indians as Americans as well. Her supporting evidence also shows that no president has never tried to ban children with illegal parents to gain citizenship in America but Trump does for his own hidden agenda. Ann Coulter audience was for people who thought they knew what trump was doing as common but in fact what he is attempting has never been done and for a good reason.

Gabe Ortiz wrote a passage about Flavio Musmannon a man who left his wallet at work got a phone call about his wallet and was captured by ICE a deportation team without saying goodbye to his family. After carefully reading Daily Kos and evaluating the text I have come to conclude the author Gabe Ortiz wrote this article to show how cruel and unforgiving the deportation crisis has become over the last year. I also agree with the author that these new laws are outrageous and are unconstitutional by how they are going about deporting foreign people from America. First starting with the choice Ortiz to go with for the title of this article. Ortiz quotes the victim that express his feelings of not being able to talk to his child while being taken away by I.C.E. Ortiz intended audience are not only people who are against these strict deportation laws but they people who think this is ok. Ortiz posts his comments about the president and the people who are for these new laws are standing with the president. Although Ortiz got his overall point across, the only critique i have about the author's article is that it lacked depth about the effects of ICE and the president's feelings about what going on. its clear in the article how the victim, Flavio Musmanno,  feels about the president in his interview so Ortiz not showing both sides lacks a compassion for the victim or lack thereof. When reading this it is best to have an open mind about what happens to these families because this should not happen to any human being.

Reading the article These 6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America published Jun 24, 2012 by Ashley Lutz is a great piece to read. It talks about what they call the "Illusion of Choice" which is simply not only the top 6 broadcasting stations by the only 6 broadcasting stations. You would think that having over 200 channels on your Dish would lead you to be otherwise but the majority of those 200 channels they are dived into 6 main stations. This is worth the read because it gives very vivid pictures about the monopoly of how it all works. making it easy for anybody to read and understand the inforation at hand.
